Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Master Woodworker to join our team at Brightcity electrical and general contractor. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for ensuring that all woodwork projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and woodworking, with experience in preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed layouts in accordance with building codes using precision measuring tools;
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials to create high-quality woodwork products;
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to exacting standards;
  • Schedule and coordinate work on-site to ensure efficient project delivery;
  • Conduct thorough site surveys to identify potential issues and ensure accurate measurements;
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential properties and wooden structures in industrial settings;
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field;
  • Demonstrated expertise in woodwork techniques, including layout preparation and material assembly;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work;
  • Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with colleagues and clients;
