About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at AJ Sand and Gravel. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Logistics Coordination: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our logistics team.
  • Cargo Security: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of trips, including driver logbooks and trip reports.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and any other relevant certifications.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
