Job Summary:

The Renfrew County District School Board is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of storage areas and supply closets
• Assist with grounds maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal
• Operate custodial equipment, including vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including fixing leaky faucets and replacing light bulbs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience in a custodial or maintenance role
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
• Basic knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety regulations
