Position Overview
Emtec is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to drive sales growth by targeting new prospects and cultivating existing customer relationships. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers, driving revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling, ensuring customer retention, and contributing to the overall success of our sales team and business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base
- Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
- Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity
- Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
- Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
- Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
- Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements
- Collect and document competitive intelligence
Must Have Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer
- Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
- Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
- Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and IT Service Management
- Deep knowledge of BMC IT Service Management tool suite and competitor tools
- BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with a numeracy base
- Fluent communication skills in order to speak and write professionally in both English and French

- Proven track record in developing new relationships with customers and ability to translate client business needs into solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in French and English
- Creative, independent thinker with strong business ethics and integrity
- Positive leadership and team-oriented skill set
- Self-starter with ability to build relationships, communicate product knowledge, and close deals quickly
- Ability to solve problems, with critical thinking, judgment, and strong decision-making skills
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely and effectively with members across departments and at all levels of the organization
