Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented tailor to join our team at Levi Strauss & Co.'s Market Mall location in Calgary, Alberta.

About the Role:

This part-time position is responsible for providing high-quality alteration services to customers, including hemming, patching, and repairing denim garments. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of denim industry trends, and strong knowledge of textiles and fabrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute and supervise basic alteration services, such as hemming, patching, and repairing denim garments.
  • Exemplify exceptional customer service skills to elevate customer experience.
  • Educate and train store teams on customer offerings and services provided by the Tailor Shop.
  • Assist with responsibilities on the selling floor and fitting room as needed or requested by store management.
  • Comply with all Levi's policies and programs.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of sewing/tailoring experience and a strong knowledge of jeans construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of machines used in the sewing of denim products.
  • Formal training in apparel design preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear while performing the duties of the job.
  • The employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, lift, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Schedule Requirements:
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening and weekend shifts.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
