Coeur Mining, Inc. is a leading precious metals producer with a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and career development. We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to join our team at our remote mine site in British Columbia.
Job Summary
The Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and instrumentation at our mine site. This is a critical role that requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and instrumentation, including circuit design and troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement daily work plans, including obtaining necessary permits and communicating with personnel.
- Ensure effective use of the work order system and coordinate the management of parts, equipment, materials, tools, procedures, technical documentation, and drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of department operating and capital budgets, forecasts, and monthly cost analysis and reporting.
- Promote continuous improvement in methods, performance, employee safety, and equipment.
- Plan and schedule activities to maximize availability and reduce downtime.
- Assist in the development of the Maintenance Management System.
- Maintain records of electrical operations and maintenance.
- Play an active role in hiring and evaluating employees.
- Ensure a well-functioning Preventative Maintenance program for electrical and control systems to improve reliability based on equipment criticality.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Assist with annual and quarterly budget reviews.
- Perform heavy lifting, large cable pulls, 5kv testing, and installations.
- Review and manage warehouse stock levels.
- Underground mine experience is required.
- Ability to prioritize site needs and act accordingly, including callouts.
Requirements
- Valid Red Seal or interprovincial Journeyman Certificate as an Electrician/Instrumentation.
- 10 years' experience in the repair and troubleshooting of diverse electrical related equipment.
- 5 years' Supervisory experience.
- Experience using a CMMS system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license.
Additional Information
