Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Privacy and Compliance Specialist to join our team at the Manitoba Government. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and managing privacy-related matters within the department, ensuring compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and other applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of privacy-related matters to identify and manage risks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide guidance on privacy-related matters.
  • Provide training and support to employees on privacy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in social sciences, politics, public administration, or a related field.
  • Experience interpreting and applying laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
