About the Role:
SickKids is seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Specialist to join our team. As an Orthopedic Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients with orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, and musculoskeletal injuries.
- Perform surgical procedures, including joint replacements, osteotomies, and other orthopedic surgeries.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in orthopedic medicine and surgery, including new technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and certification in orthopedic surgery.
- 5+ years of experience in orthopedic surgery, including experience in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
- Physical stamina to perform surgical procedures and work in a physically demanding environment.
