Strategic IT Manager for Data Architecture and Integration

About the Role:

The University of Toronto seeks an experienced IT professional to fill the position of Data Architecture and Integration Manager. This role will oversee the development and maintenance of technology standards, architecture, design, and systems planning across various domains, including data, applications, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of senior IT specialists in a collaborative environment, ensuring timely delivery of enterprise system solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise in data architecture, technology standards, and systems planning.
  • Develop and maintain sustainable business and technology architecture models, standards, and practices.
  • Ensure the successful systems and data integration strategy and practice across the University.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in application development, technology/solution architecture, and design in a high-volume, large, enterprise-level IT environment.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead with a focus on architecting and designing large enterprise applications and systems integrations.
  • Experience using architecture framework or methodology such as TOGAF or Zachman in leading and implementing architecture and designs of complex IT ecosystems.
  • Azure Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification and/or other Azure professional certifications are an asset.
