Job Title: SAP Data Architect

Thales is seeking a highly skilled SAP Data Architect to join our team in Ottawa, Canada. As a key member of our Innovation Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architecture solutions that support our naval platforms in-service support programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the definition of a data platform architecture that meets the business needs of the program
  • Support data initiatives such as Technical Data Package management, data migration, and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) of complex assets
  • Develop ETL/ELT pipelines, data mappings, and lineage
  • Develop data quality rules and orchestration workflows infrastructure
  • Deploy and monitor AI/ML models in production
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field
  • 7 years of experience with data engineering toolsets such as AirFlow, Argo, dbt, Nifi
  • 7 years of experience with data architecture, data modeling techniques, and languages
  • 7 years of experience in data quality benchmarking and analysis
  • Experience with scripting technologies such as Python, R
  • Knowledge of agile software engineering methodologies
  • Ability to work on well-defined projects with minimal supervision
  • Proven problem-solving and analytic skills with a desire to learn
  • Capable of developing strong relationships across the business through excellent customer service and business acumen
