Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Wind Turbine Technician II to join our Resource Team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our service sites and construction projects across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Travel up to % of the time to various locations, working overtime as needed to meet business goals.
  • Act as a safety role model, encouraging and recognizing safe practices and intervening when necessary.
  • Perform intermediate-level wind turbine maintenance and installation tasks, including operation and use of specialized tools and equipment.
  • Document tasks and enter data into company systems, such as SAP.
  • Diagnose and recommend solutions for routine issues, seeking assistance when necessary.
  • Follow structured problem-solving processes to complete troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks.
  • Effectively promote a healthy team environment, mentoring lower-level technical staff and supporting change initiatives.
  • Interface with customers, responding to inquiries and referring complex issues to higher-level technical staff or management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-high school education or a minimum of two years of wind industry experience preferred.
  • Proven use and understanding of intermediate-level power tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to demonstrate intermediate working knowledge of industrial safety practices and protocols.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
  • Significant attention to detail and execution, good interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based program navigation.
