About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior User Experience Service Designer to join our team at TD. As a key member of our design team, you will play a critical role in shaping the customer experience and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead problem exploration and early-stage design through primary and secondary user research, concept exploration, and prototyping.
  • Support and conduct user and market research activities to understand customer problems at all stages of the design process.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, consisting of product owners, business analysts, developers, and interns, to deliver design solutions.
  • Mentor UX Design interns and provide guidance, knowledge, and support to help them grow in their careers.
  • Apply user-centered design methodologies to ensure ideas are accessible and based on customer needs.
  • Design functional and intuitive interfaces that are thoroughly backed by user research methodologies.
  • Deliver interactive prototypes for early-stage concepts through the creation of sketches, wireframes, user flow diagrams, and storyboards.
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.
  • Build or present product demos enabling socialization of early-stage solutions.
  • Collaborate with other designers to build and socialize a universal Design Library by helping create and implement components and set guidelines for usage.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies, emerging trends, and grow expertise of the business, applications, analytical tools, and techniques.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree or relevant experience/education in a design-related discipline.
  • ~5+ years of experience, preferably in UX, visual, and/or interaction design.
  • ~Design experience for mobile and web platforms.
  • ~Experience conducting user research and user testing.
  • ~Proven ability to generate assets for build phases.
  • ~Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions and rationale to team members.
  • ~Able to multitask, prioritize projects, and communicate progress and expected milestones.
  • ~Experienced track record of maintaining high quality of designs throughout all phases of a project.
  • ~Proficiency using Figma/Figjam for all stages of the design process, including ideation, low to high fidelity designs, and prototyping.
  • ~Expert level, professional role requiring in-depth knowledge/expertise in design domain.
  • ~Solves complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholders.
  • ~Works within broad guidelines/policies and independently performs tasks from end to end.
  • ~Previous experience as a mentor, an asset.
