Assistant Buyer

Holt Renfrew is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our team. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the buying team in the procurement of merchandise for our stores.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the procurement of merchandise for our stores, including researching and selecting products, negotiating prices, and managing inventory levels.
- Monitor sales and margin performance, and provide insights to the buying team to inform purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with the buying team to develop and implement buying strategies that meet business objectives.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, including buyers, planners, and other team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the buying team.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as fashion merchandising or business.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as purchasing or retail management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
