Intermediate Interior Designer Opportunity

Riddell Kurczaba is seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. As an Intermediate Interior Designer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate design development, working closely with senior staff and project administrative staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Local Approving Authorities' requirements for DP and BP submissions.
  • Provide Revit and AutoCAD support for all project areas and detailing levels.
  • Review shop drawings and provide construction administrative support.
  • Attend meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and senior staff as directed.
  • Prepare space and furnishing plans, design details, and finish selections.
  • Coordinate and mentor junior staff, delegating work as needed.
  • Utilize industry-standard software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Reader/Writer.
  • Ensure competency with the Alberta Building Code.
  • Manage drawing files and drawing lists, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Deliver aesthetically pleasing and usable drawings, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Hold a diploma or degree from a 3+ year interior design or technology program.
  • Have 3+ years of post-graduation experience, working as a Job Captain or Intermediate level support on various projects in Canada.
  • Excel in AutoCAD and Revit skills.
