Civil Engineering Technician

At Pyritest inc., we are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to civil engineering, including soil analysis and working with buildings and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform soil analysis and other technical tasks related to civil engineering
  • Work with buildings and structures, including residential and commercial properties
  • Assist with asbestos abatement and removal
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a team environment

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience
  • AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word skills

Civil Engineering Experience: Buildings and structures

Assessor and Appraiser Specialization: Residential buildings and property, Commercial and industrial buildings and property

Area of Specialization: Asbestos abatement and removal

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
