Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic team at Burke Recruiting. The CFO will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, reporting directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee capital structure management, including debt and equity financing, to ensure the company's financial stability.
  3. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
Accounting Operations:
  1. Oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  2. Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Manage year-end reporting, including liaising with external auditors and ensuring the company's financial assets are safeguarded.
Compliance & Risk Management:
  1. Collaborate with legal counsel to manage corporate governance, contracts, and other legal matters, ensuring the company's compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Oversee insurance policies and ensure adequate coverage for the company's assets and operations.
  3. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets and prevent financial risks.
Leadership & Collaboration:
  1. Work closely with the CEO and other executive team members to drive company growth and achieve strategic objectives.
  2. Mentor and support the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  3. Engage with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and regulatory bodies, to maintain strong relationships and ensure the company's financial stability.
