Job Summary

The Toronto Catholic District School Board is seeking a skilled BAS Technician to join our East/West Facilities department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our building automation systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect and repair pneumatic and electronic building service controls, computer-based systems, and associated equipment

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with building automation systems, including System Extended Architecture (BACnet) and open protocols such as BACnet/N2 Bus

Program and configure building automation systems to meet the needs of our facilities

Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities

Requirements

Community college diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technician (Industrial), Electronics Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical/Electrical Technologist Diploma, or a related field

Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in Building Automation, Direct Digital Controls (DDC), and pneumatic control systems

Knowledge and experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), including communications protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP, etc.
