**Job Summary**
Island Health is seeking a skilled Family Practitioner to join our team in the Cowichan Valley. As a Family Practitioner, you will be part of an inter-professional team providing primary care to patients in the Central Duncan Area.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide regular primary care to patients in the clinic and in the community as needed.
- Participate in an after-hours call group, sharing after-hours coverage with other practitioners at the clinic.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including Nurse Practitioners, medical office assistants, registered nurses, social workers, and behavioral health consultants.
**Benefits:**
- May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy Agreement (RSA), including:
- Retention Premium = 4.2%
- Retention Flat Fee = $6.80
- Recruitment Incentive (pro-rated) = $10
- Relocation Costs Reimbursement up to a maximum of $15
- CME:
- Years 3 & 4: $2,000/annum
- After 4 years: $4,000/annum
**About the Role:**
This is a 1.2 FTE position available. As a Family Practitioner with Island Health, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, providing high-quality care to patients in the Cowichan Valley.
