Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

YK Freightways Inc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day logistics operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure smooth operation of logistics activities
  • Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including inventory management and transportation coordination
  • Plan and organize operational logistics, including scheduling and resource allocation
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless execution of logistics activities
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed
  • Train workers in duties and policies, and conduct performance reviews to ensure high levels of performance and productivity
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure timely completion and high quality results
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support logistics activities
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
