Pizza PointAbout the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working Kitchen Helper to join our team at Pizza Point. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and maintenance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking food items, including heating and finishing simple food items.
  • Stock Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • General Kitchen Duties: Assist with setting tables, loading buspans and trays, and replenishing condiments and supplies in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve kitchen goals and objectives.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and customers to ensure smooth service and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and be able to work well under pressure.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain high standards of quality and safety in the kitchen, and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge, and stay up-to-date with changing kitchen procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Term: Permanent position available.
  • Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Work Language: English.
