Job Title: Secondary Vice Principal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Secondary Vice Principal to join our team at School District #39 (Vancouver). As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to school staff to improve student achievement and enhance a safe and caring school culture
  • Implementing the District's Education Plan and working with school staff to acknowledge and attend to the differential backgrounds and experiences of those within the school community
  • Fostering an environment of instructional excellence where staff thrive in helping students reach their full potential
  • Building relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in a related field
  • A valid B.C. Professional Teaching Certificate
  • A dynamic portfolio of experiences gained through working in a variety of schools, communities, and roles
  • Personal experience and understanding of the attached selection criteria (Secondary VP Selection Criteria)
