Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Nexus Systems Group Inc. in downtown Toronto.

This is a 7-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our software solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and providing technical expertise to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute functional tests, non-functional tests, data testing, and systems level integration tests to ensure software meets requirements
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports to track progress and communicate results
  • Analyze defects, prioritize fixes, and collaborate with development teams to implement resolutions
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and provide training to end-users on system functionality
  • Provide periodic status updates and presentations to executives and other stakeholders on test data, defects, and migration strategy
Requirements
  • 5+ years of demonstrated QA experience in software testing, including defect tracking using collaborative tools
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French, with excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity, and perseverance skills
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as SharePoint, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, COTS, SaaS, and Cloud applications
