Feedmill Operator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Feedmill Worker to join our team at Sollio Agriculture. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic feed mill environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate DSL Preweigh to prepare each shortmix according to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensure proper shortmix containers and medication scoops are used according to medication sequencing guidelines.
• Label and store medications and vitamins.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of shortmix containers, scoops, and scales and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of bulk trucks.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of shortmix area.
• Manage the inventory of shortmix materials in their area and report any discrepancies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to drive a forklift with a valid certification.
• Previous experience in feed mill operations such as bagging, packaging, or warehouse operations is an asset.
• Some computer knowledge.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, weighing, and labeling the bags.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
