Tundra Oil & Gas Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Operator to join our team at Tundra Oil & Gas. As a Field Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of central production treatment/storage facilities, water injection pumps, and various utility support systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily well checks, inspect equipment, and examine leases
  • Complete minor maintenance repairs and work orders for larger maintenance work
  • Test wells, obtain volumes, samples, and gas readings, and maintain logbooks
  • Perform pigging on pipelines and chemical circulations
  • Examine boost pumps, lubrications, and gas compressors
  • Check single well batteries, monitor storage capacities, and coordinate trucking
  • Report spills, near misses, and complete hazard ID's
  • Issue permits to contractors and crews
  • Provide insight and share opinions at Safety and Operational meetings
  • Maintain good relations with landowners
  • Respond to call outs and emergency alarms
  • Maintain assigned company trucks and tools
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous field operating and battery experience (asset)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willingness to achieve certification in H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR, ATV Safety, WHMIS, TDG, and Production Field Operator Training
  • Basic mathematical abilities
  • Computer skills (asset)
  • Mechanical abilities (asset)
  • Collaborate well with others
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to identify problems, brainstorm, and analyze answers
  • Strong safety conscience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Required to reside within a 45-minute drive of the assigned field
  • Must conform to facial hair standards for wearing respiratory protective equipment
  • Required to be on call
  • Required to drive to a variety of work sites using company vehicles
  • Exposure to all weather conditions
  • May be required to lift items weighing up to 25 kilograms or more
  • Exposure to potential hazards (e.g. toxic chemicals)
  • Required to work under stress and handle emergency situations
