**Job Summary**

Giant Tiger is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team in London. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating electronic cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service at the checkouts, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Accurately record customer transactions in electronic cash registers and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed, maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues.
  • Follow loss prevention best practices to minimize shrinkage and protect company assets.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures when selling tobacco and lottery products.

Requirements

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate transactions and maintain a clean store environment.
  • Strong customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing and/or walking, bending, twisting, and squatting. You will also be required to lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs) and perform tasks involving firm grasping and repetitive hand motions.

Keyholder Premium (If Applicable)

As a keyholder, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring all areas are tidy, and maintaining security protocols.
