Our client, a leading Planning and Design firm, is seeking a highly motivated and talented intermediate or senior urban designer to join their growing team in Toronto, Ontario. The firm integrates unique urban design and landscape architecture solutions across all scales and across a broad range of project typologies and spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute and co-lead in developing strong, creative and innovative design concepts on a broad range of urban design and campus planning projects
  • Develop, collaborate and advance conceptual and schematic designs on urban design and campus planning projects
  • Strong visualization skills to express design both in plan and three-dimensionally
  • Prepare narrative reports and presentations that communicate the design process and concepts
  • Analyze/synthesize and document project influences
  • Assist in presentations and production of urban design and campus planning projects
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
  • Assist in programming and project schedules
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience of related urban design, urban planning or landscape architecture
  • Professional architectural degree required; Bachelor or Masters from an accredited university
  • Strong Design skills and have worked on a variety of project types
  • Experience liaising with clients and stakeholders including municipalities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
