About the Role

As the Project Controls Manager at Altrad Services Canada, you will be responsible for overseeing the project planning and control activities to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality project delivery. You will lead a team of Planners/Schedulers, Estimators, Workface Planners, and Project Controls Administrators to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain effective project control systems to track project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project controls team to ensure all activities are completed in accordance with contractual commitments.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure performance meets or exceeds Altrad's standards and procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and project team members.
Main Activities
  • Work Face Planning: Oversee the workface planning process, including scope management, breakdown of CWPs into IWPs, development of IWPs, release process, progress measurement, and close-out.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Oversee the planning process, including review of client schedules, update of internal schedules, communication of priorities to construction and management teams, resource-loading of schedules, and communication of regular updates to clients.
  • Liaise with client representatives and attend meetings as required.
  • Management of construction automation tools deployed by AGJV with a focus on M2M.
  • Reporting: Compile and submit to clients all mandatory reporting.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry, particularly within a project environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload utilizing effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with FIFO (fly in/fly out) site projects.
