Hardware Verification Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Verification Specialist to join our team at Systematix, a leading consulting and resourcing firm. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of permanent employment.
About the Role:
- This role involves creating and executing verification test plans, protocols, and reports across all phases of product development life cycle.
- You will work with various tools and agile processes to ensure products meet design specifications and manage verification environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing verification procedures to demonstrate software and system quality.
- Executing verification efforts for assigned projects, including validation and assisting others in verification or validation tasks.
- Configuring and documenting hardware and software settings to support lab and customer workflow processes.
- Collaborating with research scientists, service engineers, application specialists, and managers to characterize and troubleshoot product issues.
- Suggesting and verifying fixes, corrective, and preventive actions.
- Assisting R&D individuals in executing tests, such as regulatory and software development.
- Providing timely updates on verification progress, issues, risks, and requirements compliance status.
- Reviewing product documentation, including requirements and product specifications.
- Storing and archiving verification data, documents, and records for new and existing products.
- Maintaining instruments and computers, troubleshooting released product issues.
- Participating in evaluating and introducing new tools, techniques, approaches, and verification methods.
- Implementing ISO procedures for the Verification function.
- Calibrating, testing, optimizing, and troubleshooting mass spectrometers according to work instructions and procedures.
- Meeting cycle time defined by Technical Consultant.
- Recording test data as directed by procedures and work instructions.
- Implementing corrective and preventive actions as required.
- Daily torque verification.
- Working on final test improvement projects when required.
About the Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Engineering or Science background (M.Sc highly desirable).
- 1+ years of Laboratory Method Development experience.
- 1+ years of Mass Spectrometer experience.
- 1+ years of working with LC devices and peripherals.
- 1-2+ years of hands-on testing experience, comfortable with regression, performance, stress, acceptance, exploratory, and system testing.
- Experience in Test-Driven Development, XP, SCRUM, or Agile Environment.
- Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills.
- Ability to rapidly learn new hardware and software.
- Superior communication skills and a team-oriented, collaborative orientation.
- Ability to design relevant test cases based on realistic customer workflows.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
