Registered Nurse Opportunity at St. George Community

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at St. George Community. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality resident care and ensuring the well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and plan resident needs, delivering skilled procedures and medication administration in accordance with quality management and legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with residents and their substitute decision makers to understand their needs, preferences, and health status.
  • Develop and evaluate plans of care, setting goals and priorities for resident care.
  • Provide supervision, assistance, and oversight to nursing team members, ensuring delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
  • Participate in conferences with the interdisciplinary team, providing care to residents and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse or the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Knowledgeable with nursing process, developments, and current trends in the geriatric care field.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated administrative and computer skills with experience in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
