About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor to join our team at The North Transportation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Planning: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to achieve operational objectives.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit reports to management on transportation activities and performance.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed on transportation equipment and vehicles.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and train staff to ensure adequate personnel to meet transportation needs.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of transportation equipment and supplies.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 people to ensure effective transportation operations.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in transportation operations or a related field.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate for work assignments.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
