Job Title: Junior Carpenter Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled Junior Carpenter Apprentice to join our team at Golderado Contracting Corp.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time permanent position that requires a strong foundation in carpentry skills and a willingness to learn and grow with our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Instruct apprentices and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Valid Canadian work permit
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a noisy and dusty environment
  • Ability to work outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions
