About the Role

  • Meet with landowners/residents to discuss development and planning matters.
  • Conduct site inspections of development applications and subdivision applications as required.
  • Process land use amendments, development/subdivision/oil well applications, and update related listings accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare notices and follow the correct advertising procedure for land use amendments and development permits.
  • Prepare Request for Decision (RFD) for development matters and attend Council meetings as a resource person on development issues.
  • Issue file numbers for all development permits and subdivisions.

Requirements

  • Certificate or diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Ongoing professional development in areas such as Applied Land Use Planning, Geographic Information Systems, and Public Administration.
