Job Description

A career opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Operations Director - Community Health to join our team at ParaMed Home Health Care. As a seasoned healthcare professional, you will be responsible for leading our clinical supervisors and front-line staff in delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

  • You will lead our clinical supervisors and front-line staff in making a difference in the lives of patients we serve.
  • Cultivate a culture of respect, dignity, and confidentiality among staff and clients.
  • Mentor clinical supervisors on their roles in overseeing care delivery and supporting front-line team members and patients and their families.
  • Monitor performance and clinical indicators to ensure optimal care delivery.
  • Participate in interviewing, orienting, supervising, and performing clinical supervisors.
  • Ensure completion of all mandatory training and skill development.
  • Create and maintain the on-call schedule for clinical supervisors.
  • Respond to clinical concerns from staff, contractors, funders, clients, and families.
  • Review client safety incidents and participate in investigations and resolutions.
  • Provide clinical leadership at the district level.
  • Oversight CQI activities related to care and service, including staff participation and problem-solving teams.
  • Evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Registration/licensing as a Registered Nurse in good standing with provincial regulatory college.
  • BScN preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a formal nursing leadership role required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse in a community setting.
  • Certification in Community Health Nursing with CNA certification preferred.
  • Membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of applicable health care legislation.
  • Knowledge of standards of care for palliative, wound, IV therapy, and other specialties.
  • Superior communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, contractors, and staff.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate operational needs.
  • Knowledge of applicable community resources available for clients and families.
  • Current certification in First Aid, CPR completed within Canada.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience in Word and Excel.
  • Able to provide a current, clear criminal back check with Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS).

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer an attractive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
