Job Title: Home Childcare Provider

We are seeking a reliable and caring Home Childcare Provider to join our team at Enrique Garavito Lopez. As a Home Childcare Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare services to families in their own homes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing childcare services to children in the comfort of their own homes
  • Assisting with light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals
  • Supervising and caring for children
  • Assisting with daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
Responsibilities:

The Home Childcare Provider will be responsible for:

  • Assuming full responsibility for household in absence of parents
  • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Shopping for food and household supplies
  • Traveling with family on trips and assisting with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens
  • Caring for pets
  • Bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children
  • Disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents
  • Instructing children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Keeping records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organizing activities such as games and outings for children
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals
  • Supervising and caring for children
  • Taking children to and from school and to appointments
  • Tending to the emotional well-being of children
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in childcare
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
Working Conditions:

The Home Childcare Provider will work in a non-smoking, scent-free environment and will be required to travel with the family on trips. The successful candidate will be willing to relocate and will have a valid driver's license.

Security and Safety:

The Home Childcare Provider will be required to undergo a Child Abuse Registry check, a Criminal record check, a Drug test, and a Medical exam. A reference will be required.

Transportation/Travel Information:

The Home Childcare Provider will be required to travel with the family on trips and will be responsible for their own transportation expenses.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The Home Childcare Provider will be required to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Weight Handling:

The Home Childcare Provider will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and will need to be able to handle heavy loads.

Personal Suitability:

The Home Childcare Provider will need to have excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organization, reliability, and time management skills.
