Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Professor of Theatre to teach voice and diction techniques to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theatre and a passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach voice and diction techniques to students in a post-secondary setting
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Stay current with trends in theatre and incorporate them into teaching
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience teaching voice, diction, and/or movement in a post-secondary setting
  • Or 5 years of recent and significant professional experience as a director, theatre artist, or performer in productions requiring a high level of physical or vocal mastery
  • Excellent oral and written French language skills
