Security Guard Services Position

Armour Security and Protection Services Corporation (ASPS) is a leading security company in British Columbia offering a wide range of security services.
We are currently looking for Advanced Security Training (AST) certified security guards to join our team for long-term permanent positions in the Lower Mainland.
Requirements:
- Lawful and Ethical Conduct: Act lawfully and with honesty and integrity. Treat everyone with courtesy, equality, and without discrimination. Perform duties with a commitment to protecting store customers, employees, and assets.
- Licensing and Identification: Always carry a valid security worker's license while on duty.
- Punctuality and Appearance: Arrive on time in uniform and neatly dressed.
- Surveillance and Theft Prevention: Be vigilant for theft and assist store employees by creating a deterrent to theft through presence and apprehension of shoplifters.
- Arrest and Use of Force: Ensure arrests comply with the Criminal Code of Canada (Sections 494, 25 & 26).
- Pursuit of Suspects: Pursue shoplifters safely and only on foot. Do not engage in unsafe actions such as vehicular pursuits.
- Incident Reporting: Report all criminal incidents to store management and submit detailed reports before the end of your shift.
- Interaction with Customers and Employees: Limit conversations to necessary interactions and do not use personal electronic devices except in emergencies.
- Shift Protocols: Report to store management at the beginning of each shift and sign the security log.
- License: Valid Security Worker's License.
- Certification: Current basic Security Training (BST) certificate.
- Experience: At least 1 year of AST experience (required).
- Skills: Excellent communication, observational, and problem-solving skills.
- Pay: $18.00 per hour.
- Dental care.
- Extended health care.
- Flexible schedule.
- 8-hour shifts.
- Weekdays and weekends available.
- Expected hours: 36-40 per week.
