We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Database Architect to join our team at ComputerTalk Technology Inc. in Markham. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our critical SQL Server RDBMS systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and configure SQL Server databases across multiple product lifecycle environments
- Maintain database servers and processes to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
- Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities
- Share domain and technical expertise with team members
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- ~5+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
- Flexible, team player, "get-it-done" personality
