Private Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Caregiver to join our team. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a private home setting.
About the RoleWe are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with children and has a strong commitment to their well-being and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning, growth, and fun.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds, and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be comfortable with the physical demands of the role.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional care and support to children, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and ensuring their overall health and hygiene
- Create engaging and educational activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and social development
- Establish a daily routine that includes regular times for meals, rest, and play
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment that is safe and healthy for children
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or issues
- Collaborate with other caregivers to provide comprehensive support and services to children
- 1-2 years of experience working with children in a caregiving or related role
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (an asset)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with physical demands of the role, including lifting and bending
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (as needed)
- A competitive salary range of $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience
