Job Description

Job Title: Support Educational Assistant

Job Summary:

The Good Spirit School Division No. 204 is seeking a Support Educational Assistant to provide support to students with special needs in various locations throughout our division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special needs to promote student independence and student empowerment.
  • Work closely with students to meet their learning needs and build strong foundations to create bright futures for all our students.
  • Perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 40 lbs., bending, and twisting to perform student transfers and personal needs.
  • Work collaboratively as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as outlined on our website in Job Description - Educational Assistant.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent training/experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Candidates must have patience and compassion and enjoy working with children to create a fun, positive, safe learning environment.
