Job Description:

As a Security Console Operator, you will be responsible for dispatching alarm and occurrence responses, coordinating scheduling changes, documenting information, and escalating situations as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispatching alarm and occurrence responses in a timely and efficient manner
  • Coordinating scheduling changes, book-offs, and other administrative tasks
  • Documenting all relevant information into comprehensive reports
  • Escalating situations to stakeholders as necessary
  • Ensuring adherence to procedures during emergency situations
  • Liaising with local emergency services and client personnel
  • Providing briefings to management, supervisors, and staff as required
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a control room environment with CCTV and access card systems
  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid WSIB-approved First Aid Certificate Level C
  • Ability to provide minimum proof of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations upon hiring
  • Familiarity with the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office software
  • Superior customer service and professionalism
  • Above-average English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to function independently and multitask effectively in a dynamic environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous operations centre or mobile driver experience considered an asset

Benefits:

  • Overtime pay at ESA rate
  • Continental rotation schedule (0730-1930/1930-0730)
  • Opportunity to work varied shifts, including weekends and 12-hour overnight shifts

Other Information:

  • This position is temporary from November 18, 2024, to March 01, 2025
  • Upon completion, you can either resign to a Casual position or apply for available full-time postings
