Job Title: Drilling Floorhand

We are seeking a skilled Drilling Floorhand to join our team at Precision Drilling Canada Limited Partnership.

Job Summary:

The Drilling Floorhand will be responsible for assisting in the drilling and removal of pipes, drill stems, and drill bits at the rig floor. This role requires a strong understanding of drilling operations and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the manipulation of sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and removal operations.
  • Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials as required.
  • Clean up rig areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs and service equipment.
  • Drive trucks to transport materials and well service equipment as needed.
Requirements:
  • Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) basic safety orientation (BSO) certification.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate.
  • Confined Space Entry Training.
  • Rig Worker Fall Protection certification.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
Work Environment:

The Drilling Floorhand will work in a variety of environments, including outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces. The role requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment and to handle heavy loads.
