About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Aspen After School Care. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts that foster their creativity and curiosity.
  • Logistics and Administration: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our children.
  • Communication and Reporting: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, providing valuable insights into their development and progress.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, working collaboratively with our team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of your work, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
  • Physical Demands: Combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day, adapting to the needs of our children and the demands of the role.
  • Work Term and Hours: Work on a permanent basis, with a regular schedule of 35 hours per week.
  • Language: Communicate effectively in English, using clear and concise language to engage with our children and colleagues.
