Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support to students with diverse needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those with autism, deaf/blindness, and medical conditions.
  • Assist with toileting, lifting, and other physical tasks as required.
  • Support students with communication needs, including sign language and augmentative communication devices.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
Requirements
  • Completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training and/or Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training.
  • Experience working with students with autism, deaf/blindness, and medical conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and bending.
