We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority.
About the RoleThe Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary health team to provide high-quality patient care. This includes conducting patient interviews, physical assessments, and taking medical histories, as well as preparing treatment plans for each patient.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
- Order medical diagnostic tests and consult with physicians to develop treatment plans
- Conduct patient interviews and physical assessments to gather medical information
- Prepare treatment plans and coordinate patient care
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinic or hospital setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
