Junior Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist I to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in a challenging and rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities- Document experimental data in accordance with ALCOA guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct HPLC, dissolution, and physical testing analysis using established procedures, with a focus on quality and precision.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in Empower, NuGenesis, MS Word & Excel software to support laboratory operations and data analysis.
- Troubleshoot system suitability failures and implement solutions to prevent recurrence, ensuring minimal disruption to laboratory activities.
- Recognize and report unexpected or OOS results immediately to the Supervisor, conducting thorough laboratory investigations to identify root causes.
- Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards, adhering to company safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform alternating or rotating shift work as required, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic laboratory setting.Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.
- Experience with common laboratory equipment and operations, including HPLC and chromatographic separations.
- Understanding of basic chemistry and chromatographic separations, with a focus on analytical techniques and methodologies.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative chemical or microbiological analysis, with the ability to design and execute experiments.
- Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, including GMP and SOP compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to scientific problems, with the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations, with a focus on compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with a focus on data analysis and presentation.Standards and Expectations
