We are seeking a seasoned Equipment Optimization Specialist to join our esteemed client in the food manufacturing industry. As an Equipment Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery, optimizing equipment design and departmental processes, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintenance management, particularly in rendering environments or similar industries.
  • They will lead the maintenance department, managing maintenance budgets, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • The role requires strong leadership skills, collaboration with various teams, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.

About the Opportunity

  • This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, Day Shift.
  • The salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000 + bonus.
  • Benefits include a comprehensive package from day 1, including three weeks' vacation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set key production metrics (efficiency, uptime, reliability).
  • Oversee daily maintenance activities and support technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards.
  • Optimize equipment design and departmental processes.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various teams and lead the maintenance department.
  • Maintain safety and operational standards in food processing equipment.
  • Continuously improve maintenance processes and monitor policies.
  • Train staff and ensure adherence to safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree: a professional designation in engineering or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a food manufacturing setting is essential.
  • A minimum of five years of proven experience in maintenance management, particularly in a rendering environment, edible oil processing, or similar industries.
  • Experience with centrifugal equipment is required.
  • A strong background in rendering processes is crucial.
  • Experience with CAPEX management and Project Management.
  • Implementing safety policies and procedures.
  • Implementing maintenance tracking and work order systems or programs.
  • Experience in budgeting and cost management within maintenance operations.
