About the Role
- Support daily operations by providing leadership and ensuring stakeholder objectives are met in a safe, effective, and positive manner.
- Support daily production, workflow, and quality control of the shop.
- Utilize company dashboards to accurately identify and prioritize tasks.
- Participate in daily production meetings and contribute to the goal of closing all files within 24 hours of vehicle delivery.
- Work with the Shop Manager, Assistant Shop Manager, Operations team, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with provincial and national regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customer service, initial estimates, and repair plans.
- Identify and order parts from the management system after completing repair plans.
- Assist with educating customers about claims and repair processes.
- Maintain awareness of production deadlines and update customers as required.
- Provide customer service at vehicle drop off and pick up, including reviewing replacement vehicles and customer vehicles.
- Walk with purpose, demonstrate care about the whole vehicle, and all stakeholders.
- Support pre and post-vehicle diagnostic scanning.
- Check for vehicle recalls while building repair plans.
- Review vehicle history in the Management System.
- Proactively take steps to reduce effort and increase touch time and reduce vehicle days in shop.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Working towards I-CAR Platinum certification an asset.
- Proficient in Mitchell Estimating, Audatex, ALLDATA.
- Knowledge and experience in ADAS systems, vehicle calibrations, and emerging vehicle technologies.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening skills, combined with the ability to interact and gain the support of senior leadership and other decision-makers.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with customer service-oriented attitude.
- Proficient in Outlook and video conferencing platforms with the ability and willingness to learn new applications.
- Demonstrated desire and aptitude for learning and development.
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract over the last 3 years.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
