Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cementing Equipment Technician to join our team at Stingray Well Solutions Inc. As a key member of our drilling and well service team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining cementing equipment on our drilling rigs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain cementing equipment, including pumps and hoses
  • Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick
  • Drive well services truck to well site and assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs
  • Read gauges to interpret conditions and adjust pumping procedure
  • Assist in mixing chemicals and cements
  • Use specialized equipment to determine the location of buried pipelines and other utilities in preparation for seismic exploration and drilling activities
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Standard First Aid Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various locations. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and have excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
