Job Summary

The OpenEdge Programmer Analyst is a key member of the IT Business Applications team, responsible for delivering business solutions that meet the needs of Teknion Corporation. This role involves analyzing user requirements, designing and developing applications, and providing technical support to ensure seamless business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements and design specifications to deliver optimal application code.
  • Develop and implement business solutions using OpenEdge ABL v11 and above, as well as other technologies such as HTML 5, CSS 3, and Bootstrap.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with peers to develop and maintain technical documentation, including database structure, server, and user access rights.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and developing web-based business applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of OpenEdge suite of products, including Progress Developer Studio for OpenEdge and Progress Application Servers for OpenEdge.
  • Good to have working knowledge of federated identity management using an identity as a service such as Okta, Ping, ADFS, and SAML 2.0.
