About the Role

  • You'll be responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of our security frameworks and tools, ensuring they can be effectively utilized by all development teams.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay informed about new security threats and technologies.
  • Support the implementation of cutting-edge security solutions and practices within the platform team.
  • Participate in the technical leadership of security, under the guidance of senior team members, to learn and eventually guide the organization in secure development practices.
  • Help foster a culture of security awareness and excellence across the organization.
  • Collaborate with development teams to share knowledge and tools for secure coding practices.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of monitoring and automation for incident detection and response.
  • Contribute to ensuring compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations.
  • Participate in informal security training sessions to promote a security-aware culture within the organization.

About You

  • You have knowledge of source control, branching & release strategies, pull requests, and automated quality gates using tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • Experience in public cloud (AWS) in building services using cloud native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, etc.
  • A recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Basic understanding of cloud-native technologies, containerized workloads, and an interest in cloud security.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java, Go, Python, TypeScript) and a willingness to learn secure coding practices.
  • An eagerness to learn CI/CD automation, including deploying applications and infrastructure.
  • Basic knowledge of network security practices.
  • Awareness of security standards and frameworks such as OWASP ASVS, CVEs, SOC2, and HIPAA.
  • Willingness to engage in informal security training.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
